Inboard Steering Cylinders
Inboard cylinders are available either in anodized aluminium or brass versions. The piston rod is made of stainless steel to ensuire a long, trouble free life and to prevent rust and corrosion. The ball joint is easily available in the most popular sizes. The cylinder base moves both horizontally, to follow the complete cylinder arch and vertically, to follow and adapt to any excursion of the tiller arm.
Our power assisted steering cylinders are available with an anodized aluminium body (for applications up to 45'), or with a brass body (for applications over 45').
The small servo cylinder is mounted directly to the main cylinder. This results in an extremenly simple design with reduced dimensions for easy installation in very confined spaces.
The piston rod is made of stainless steel for both the servo and main cylinders, providing a long life and the highest resistance to rust and corrosion.
Our heavy duty steering cylinders are built with stainless steel piston rods for high corrosion resistance. The cylinder body is painted with paints suitable for marine environments.
Every cylinder is supplied with Tee fittings provided with bleeders and with all the connection fittings needed.
All the materials used for production of inboard cylinders are suitable for applications in the marine environment, even when high levels of salt are present.
Every component of this range is built and tested to meet the toughest tests and satisfy the strictest standards of international Survey Authorities such as RINA, Lloyd's Register of Shipping, American Bureau o Shipping, Bureau Veritas, etc;
